Research and evaluation reports

Research and evaluation are essential for guiding our efforts to get more women to have two yearly Pap tests.

To ensure our strategies are the most effective, PapScreen Victoria relies on the research and evaluation conducted by the Cancer Council Victoria’s Centre for Behavioural Research in Cancer (CBRC) and the Victorian cervical screening statistics produced by the Victorian Cervical Cytology Registry.

The PapScreen Victoria Evaluation Report Volume One [pdf 742K] documents the research and evaluation studies undertaken during 1997–2000 and Volume Two [large file warning: pdf 7.57M] reports on studies from 2001 to 2007.

The reports in these volumes describe various studies conducted, including evaluations of media campaigns. Also included are literature reviews on topics such as reminder letter interventions. Outcomes from these studies continue to inform PapScreen Victoria’s future strategies.

Both volumes will be useful to tertiary students, health professionals and behavioural scientists.
